Our Approach
Whole-person care, not just symptom management
Every Belvedere treatment plan blends clinical therapy, medical oversight, family involvement, and daily structure — built around the individual teen in front of us.
Our philosophy
We treat the root, not just the behavior.
Struggling behavior in adolescence is almost always a signal, not the whole story. Our clinical team looks past the presenting crisis to understand what's driving it — trauma, attachment wounds, undiagnosed anxiety, or family stress — and builds a plan around that root cause.
Treatment plans are reviewed and adjusted weekly by a multidisciplinary team, so care evolves with your teen rather than following a fixed script.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Helps teens identify and reshape the thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, and self-critical thinking.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Builds concrete skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships.
Family Systems Therapy
Treats the family as part of the healing unit, addressing communication patterns and rebuilding trust.
Trauma-Focused Therapy
Gives teens a safe, paced way to process traumatic experiences without becoming overwhelmed.
Experiential Therapy
Art, movement, and outdoor activities offer ways to process emotion beyond talk therapy alone.
Psychiatric Care
Ongoing evaluation and, when appropriate, medication management from a board-certified psychiatrist.
Weekly rhythm
Structure that gives teens a sense of steadiness.
Individual therapy, group therapy, family sessions, academics, and experiential activities all happen on a predictable weekly rhythm — because for many teens, steadiness is itself therapeutic.
